Sadie Lahey goes to "Junior Olympics of Dressage"

Sadie Lahey, 16, has been selected to represent the Northwest Region at the North American Junior and Young Rider Championships - a competition known as the "Junior Olympics" of dressage. The event is July 28 through Aug. 1 in Lexington, Ky. Considered to be the ballet of equestrians, dressage revolves around skilled movements made by rider and horse together. Lahey and her Dutch Warmblood horse UpToDate P qualified by achieving high scores at four different shows around the Northwest, including the Idaho Dressage Festival in Nampa in May. In 2009, Lahey was recognized as the Region 6 champion for 2nd Level Juniors.

USEF International Competition - Achen

Competing at the prestigious CDIO Aachen, Tina Konyot put in stellar performances in the Grand Prix, Grand Prix Special and the Grand Prix Freestyle. Starting off on Thursday in the Grand Prix, Konyot and her stallion Calecto V scored a 68.602% for a 14th place finish.
